Finally! We are seeing some increases in island inventory! I would love to show you all that Whidbey has to offer. There are so many special neighborhoods, each with their own distinctive characteristics. Whidbey Island is a fantastic place in which to invest. Here is something to consider when viewing properties:

Are you deciding what properties you want to see or is your broker choosing them for you? I recently had an experience at one of my listings where a buyer’s broker came to preview the property to see if it was “right” for his client. He determined it wouldn’t work for them without even bringing the clients to see for themselves. In all my years of working with real estate buyers, I have learned that it is best for buyers to see a wide variety of properties, especially when moving to the islands. I have had clients who thought they wanted acreage but ended up living near Langley and loving the community. I have had other buyers looking to be in a beach community but then falling in love with a cottage nestled in the forest. They love being in the wildlife habitat. So be sure you are choosing the properties you want to see, not your broker. The internet is the great equalizer in all of this - you can search for yourself and find properties that interest you. Then tell your broker what you want to see. And I am always happy to be your buyers’ broker and to show buyers around the islands!
